Our CEO Hassan Maad participated in a round table at AFRICA PAY & ID EXPO to answer this question: in the era of #DigitalPublicInfrastructure (DPI) and #DigitalPublicGoods (DPG), which technological environment and platforms to support e-Gov ambitions in Africa?
Clearly, the most important items for Digital Public Infrastructures are:
✅ Implementing open standards.
✅ Ensuring data migration is possible.
They alone will allow interoperability between components as well as independence from components. This in turn avoids reliance on a single technology or software brick and ensures an open field for innovation.
Initiatives like the soon to be International Telecommunication Union from #OSIA are a good place to start.
